PRIVACY POLICYHow MeloLetter handles your data.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how public gift pages, AI generation, account storage, and payments work.
Last updated: July 7, 2026
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as names, gift details, prompts, lyric drafts, messages, cover images, selected tracks, and share page settings.
If you sign in, we collect account information from Google Sign-In, such as your email address, name, and profile information made available through the sign-in flow.
When you use paid features, we may receive checkout status, product identifiers, customer identifiers, and billing-related metadata from our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers.
We may also collect technical information such as device/browser details, log data, local storage/session storage data, and usage events needed to operate, secure, and debug the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide MeloLetter, generate lyrics and songs, save account history, publish share pages, process credits, verify checkout status, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
We may also use information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect users, recipients, and the service.
3. AI generation providers
To create lyrics or songs, we may send the relevant prompt, lyric draft, style direction, title, and other generation details to third-party AI or music generation providers. Do not submit information that you are not comfortable being processed for generation.
4. Public share pages
Published share pages are designed to be publicly viewable by anyone with the link. A share page may show the title, recipient name, sender name, message, cover image, selected audio, lyrics snapshot, and branding text.
Only publish a share page when you are comfortable with the page being viewed by recipients or anyone else who receives the link.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help run MeloLetter, such as authentication, database, storage, payment, hosting, lyrics generation, and music generation providers. These providers process information so we can operate the service.
We may share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Google user data for advertising.
6. Google user data
MeloLetter uses Google Sign-In for authentication. We use Google account information to create and secure your account, connect generated songs and credits to you, and show account-related information inside the service.
We do not use Google user data to train AI models, sell user data, or serve ads.
7. Cookies and local storage
We may use cookies, local storage, and session storage to keep you signed in, preserve a draft while you move through the creation flow, remember checkout context, and operate the share editor.
8. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide MeloLetter, maintain account records, preserve paid history, render published share pages, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete account-related information, but some records may need to be retained where required by law or legitimate business needs.
9. Your choices and rights
You can choose what to include in prompts, messages, cover images, and public share pages. You can avoid publishing a share page if you do not want the information to be public.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@meloletter.com.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Children
MeloLetter is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the service if you are under 13, and do not submit personal information about children unless you have the authority to do so.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The updated date above shows when this policy was last revised. You can also review our Terms of Service.
